The work involved in managing a mailing list of hundreds or thousands or recipients is daunting. We should all be striving to increase the size of our mailing list, but it's impossible if staff spends ours every month on updating and pruning the list. Site Caddy includes numerous tools to help clubs take control over their mailing list, and let members update their own details.
To abide by spam and privacy regulations, every e-mail sent by Site Caddy automatically includes a link that allows recipients to update their status and opt-out of receiving e-mails. When a person opts-out, Site Caddy will not send them messages - even if they are included in a recipient list. This is for the protection of both the recipient and the business!
Each contact in your account includes their own permissions for receiving e-mail and text messages, and survey and event invitations. The recipient can be given the ability to update their own status, or you can update their status when necessary.
As a safety mechanism, Site Caddy automatically includes a suppression list with each account. Addresses on the suppression list will not be contacted, no matter what the circumstances. E-Mail addresses and mobile phone nubmers are automatically added to the suppression list when appropriate. This helps to ensure that people that should not be contacted, will not be contacted - even if you make a mistake.
In Site Caddy you have the ability to update the opt-in and opt-out settings for every contact in your account. But if you give your members the ability to sign into your website and update their own profile, then they also have the ability to update their own preferences - saving your staff time.
