About Green Island Interactive

Green Island Interactive is an internet solutions and consulting company that has been providing clients in North America, Ireland and the U.K. with creative and effective web solutions since 1999. Due to strong growth and rapid expansion, the company now has an opening for a Front-end Web Developer with experience in Java and J2EE.

The Role

The Front-end Web Developer will be responsible for front-end GUI development for our Site Caddy product line and customer sites, providing e-commerce web content management and hosting. You must be an expert at handling cross-browser CSS issues, so that your designs will shine in all major browsers. And, you'll pitch in with new Java development and maintenance of our product framework from time to time.

This is a new position in our small but growing organization, and we need self-starters passionate about helping to build out our company. You'll work closely with our management and engineering teams, but you'll also often need to work independently.

Start Date - Time Frame

Although this position is available as a 6-8 month contract initially, a full-time position with Green Island will be an option depending on performance. Working remotely is optional, however the candidate should be within commuting distance of our Dublin or New York locations.

  • Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills; high-fidelity prototyping experience is a plus.
  • Ability to write non-technical specs for programmers.
